Although more needs to be repaired but this house is like a dream home for Attenton Will (Daniel Craig). Unfortunately, this house keep a mystery, a mystery that until now has not been revealed. Slowly but surely dragged Will investigate a mystery that involves his new home.
Will decided to leave Manhattan and move to a small town in New England to start a new life. With Libby (Rachel Weisz), his wife, he took Dee Dee (Claire Geare) and Trish (Taylor Geare) to a house that had long been empty. Not long after he began to see something he could not explain.
From Ann Paterson (Naomi Watts), he received information that had once been a murder in the house which he now lived. A mother and her children became a murder victim who reportedly committed by the husband, now a resident mental hospital. When Will investigate this case further, he found difficult to accept the fact that sense.
